Thai Yoga Therapy

What is Thai Yoga Therapy?

Thai Yoga Therapy is a sequence of gentle yoga stretches and acupressure points performed by the practitioner which allow the receiver to go into a state of total relaxation, or zero resistance.

It opens the joints, releases fascial tissues, and aligns the

skeletal structure.

While the sequence remains about the same, the receiver brings a different state of mind and condition of the body from one session to the next, opening themselves to the work that is necessary and available.

I offer two styles of Thai Yoga–

A traditional Thai Yoga Therapy that is moderately active,

in that the body is in varied and constant motion,

and

A Restorative Joint-Opening Yoga therapy that is very gentle and opens every single joint in the body from the tips of the toes through the shoulders, also ending with the head and neck.

Thai Yoga Therapy is great for people who have at least a moderately active lifestyle, are conscientious about their overall health, and want to learn more about their bodies. In any chosen activity, Thai Yoga decreases recovery time, and contributes to longevity.

The Fine Print

Thai Yoga is a physical process during which I lift and maneuver the limbs, especially the legs, frequently, and in a variety of ways. My body is my equipment, so I respectfully ask that clients be no taller than 6'2" and weigh less than 200 lbs.

If you don't meet these specifications, I am happy to refer you to another practitioner.

For a Great Experience

  • I'll need access to clean, dry bare feet, your hands, and the head and neck.
  • Please wear loose fitting comfortable clothing. If wearing shorts, longer is better.
  • Please do not eat up to 2 hours prior to the massage.
  • Please do not wear any scents, perfumes, colognes etc.
  • Please do not wear any metals, or be able to set jewelry etc. aside during the session.
  • Please turn off the sound on your phone for the duration of the session.
